ScrapingBee pricing: API cost per 1,000 pages, credit multipliers and plans

The short answer

ScrapingBee sells monthly API credits. Hobby is $19 for 75,000 credits at 25 concurrent requests, Freelance $49 for 250,000 at 50, Startup $99 for 1,000,000 at 100, Business $249 for 3,000,000 at 200 and Business+ $599 for 8,000,000 at 400, with Enterprise by quote and 1,000 free credits to evaluate. The credit table is what decides the bill: a plain fetch is 1 credit, JavaScript rendering is 5, a premium proxy is 10 alone or 25 with rendering, and a stealth proxy is 75. So a rendered page costs $1.27 per 1,000 on Hobby, $0.98 on Freelance, $0.50 on Startup, $0.42 on Business and $0.37 on Business+. Failed requests cost nothing. All figures read from ScrapingBee own pricing page, documentation and knowledge base on 21 September 2026.

ScrapingBee publishes a clean plan grid and, in a separate knowledge base article, a credit table. Put them side by side and the interesting number appears, because the grid sells credits and the workload spends multiples. Rendering JavaScript costs 5 credits, which is the setting most people leave on, so the 250,000 credits on the $49 Freelance plan are 50,000 rendered pages rather than 250,000 of anything.

That is the first division worth doing. The second is the one nobody does: the price per credit is not close to constant across the ladder. It drops 23 percent from Hobby to Freelance, then falls off a cliff between Freelance and Startup, then flattens out again. The $50 that separates the $49 plan from the $99 plan buys 750,000 extra credits, which works out at $0.0000667 each. That is cheaper than the average credit on Business+, ScrapingBee largest self-serve plan. If you have ever wondered which upgrade on a pricing ladder is the one worth taking, this is what one looks like.

Everything below was read on 21 September 2026 from scrapingbee.com/pricing, the ScrapingBee documentation and the ScrapingBee knowledge base article on the credit system, never from a review aggregator. We build a crawling API, so we are in the table too, we sit third, and we lose rows outright.

If you are shortlisting rather than costing, our ScrapingBee alternatives comparison covers who each rival suits, and ScrapingBee against ScraperAPI on real cost puts the two mid-market HTML APIs side by side. For the category as a whole, our web scraping API pricing breakdown normalizes every vendor onto one page.

Why it works

Three things the ScrapingBee pricing page leaves you to work out

Rendering multiplies your bill by five

A plain fetch is 1 credit and a JavaScript-rendered fetch is 5, and rendering is what most modern targets require. Read every plan through that multiplier and the numbers change shape: Hobby is 15,000 rendered pages, not 75,000; Freelance is 50,000; Startup is 200,000; Business is 600,000; Business+ is 1,600,000. Premium proxies raise it to 25 credits a page and stealth proxies to 75, which is 15 times a normal rendered page. At that rate the entire $19 Hobby plan is exactly 1,000 stealth requests.

The Freelance to Startup step is the cheapest money on the ladder

Price per credit falls 23 percent from Hobby to Freelance, 49 percent from Freelance to Startup, 16 percent from Startup to Business and 10 percent from Business to Business+. Only one step buys credits faster than it raises the price: $49 to $99 doubles the price and quadruples the allowance. The 750,000 marginal credits cost $0.0000667 each, below the $0.0000749 average credit on Business+. The catch is that you have to use them. Startup only beats Freelance on effective rate once you pass about 505,000 credits a month, roughly 101,000 rendered pages.

The Agentic Search API is priced in whole plans

Most of the credit table sits between 1 and 75. One line does not: the Agentic Search API costs 3,750 credits per call. That is 20 calls a month on Hobby, 66 on Freelance, 266 on Startup, 800 on Business and 2,133 on Business+, which in dollars is $0.95 a call on Hobby down to $0.28 on Business+. It is a real product with a real cost behind it, but if you budgeted from the plan headline you will discover it the hard way. Price that feature separately before you size a plan around it.

Why ClawEngine

One API that crawls, renders and extracts

Not a raw HTML dump, not a headless browser fleet to run, and not a brittle parser to maintain. One call crawls a public page, renders its JavaScript and returns clean markdown or typed JSON, built for RAG pipelines and AI agents.

LLM-ready output

Clean markdown or typed JSON with the boilerplate stripped, so the data drops straight into a vector store, a prompt or an agent without a cleanup step.

JavaScript rendered

Each page loads in a real browser environment before extraction, so single-page apps and client-rendered content come back complete, not as an empty shell.

Compliance-first

ClawEngine works on public, permitted data only. It respects robots.txt and site Terms of Service and honors crawl-delay, so responsible scraping is the default.

Code examples

The same page, billed once, cleaned on the way back

The multiplier table exists because rendering, proxies and extraction are separate products bolted onto one fetch. If your job is turning a site you already know into model-ready fields, here is the same work as a single per-page call with the cleaning included.

curl Crawl a section and extract typed fields (POST /v1/crawl)
curl https://clawengine.ai/v1/crawl \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CLAWENGINE_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{

    "limit": 50,
    "render": true,
    "format": "structured",
    "schema": {
      "name": "string",
      "price": "string",
      "sku": "string",
      "in_stock": "boolean"
    }
  }'

# Rendering is not a multiplier here. One page of plan
# allowance per page returned, cleaned and typed.

People also ask

ScrapingBee pricing: the questions buyers ask

How much does ScrapingBee cost?

ScrapingBee costs $19 a month on Hobby for 75,000 API credits, $49 on Freelance for 250,000, $99 on Startup for 1,000,000, $249 on Business for 3,000,000 and $599 on Business+ for 8,000,000, with Enterprise quoted above that. New accounts get 1,000 free credits with no card. All prices are exclusive of VAT and you pay only for successful requests.

How does the ScrapingBee credit system work?

Every request spends credits from your monthly allowance, and the number depends on what you asked for. A classic proxy fetch without JavaScript rendering is 1 credit, with rendering it is 5. A premium proxy is 10 without rendering and 25 with it. A stealth proxy is 75 and always renders. Adding an AI query costs 5 credits on top of whichever of those applies.

How much does ScrapingBee cost per request?

Divide the plan price by its credits, then multiply by the credit cost of the request. One credit is $0.000253 on Hobby, $0.000196 on Freelance, $0.000099 on Startup, $0.000083 on Business and $0.0000749 on Business+. So a 5-credit rendered page costs $0.00127 on Hobby and $0.00037 on Business+, which is $1.27 and $0.37 per 1,000 pages respectively.

How many pages can I scrape with ScrapingBee?

It depends entirely on the settings, which is why the credit counts are misleading on their own. With JavaScript rendering on, the plans are 15,000, 50,000, 200,000, 600,000 and 1,600,000 pages. Without rendering they are five times those numbers. Through a premium proxy with rendering they are 3,000, 10,000, 40,000, 120,000 and 320,000.

Does ScrapingBee charge for failed requests?

No, and this is one of the better things about the pricing. Fees apply only to successful attempts, and the documentation is explicit that if every configuration fails the request costs 0 credits. ScrapingBee also retries a failing URL for up to 30 seconds before giving up. On a defended target that policy is worth real money compared with vendors who bill every response code.

How much does the ScrapingBee stealth proxy cost?

A stealth proxy request is 75 credits and JavaScript rendering cannot be turned off, so it is 15 times a normal rendered page. In money that is $19.00 per 1,000 stealth requests on Hobby, $14.70 on Freelance, $7.43 on Startup, $6.23 on Business and $5.62 on Business+. Put another way, the whole $19 Hobby plan is exactly 1,000 stealth requests.

What does the ScrapingBee Google Search API cost?

A Google URL through a classic or premium proxy is 15 credits, and 75 through stealth. The separate search endpoints have their own rates: Fast Search is 10 credits, Google and Walmart are 10 in light mode or 15 in normal mode, Amazon is 5 light or 15 normal, YouTube is 5, and the ChatGPT and Gemini endpoints are 15 each.

Does ScrapingBee have a free plan?

There is no recurring free plan. New accounts receive 1,000 free API credits with no credit card required, which is 1,000 plain fetches or 200 rendered pages. Treat it as an evaluation budget rather than a tier you can build on, because it does not renew monthly the way a free plan would.

Is ScrapingBee worth it for a RAG pipeline?

Only if you already have a cleaning layer. ScrapingBee is excellent at getting the page, and what it hands back is HTML. A retrieval pipeline needs the navigation, footers and cookie banners gone, the structure preserved and a consistent shape across sources, which is code you write and maintain per site. If that layer already exists, ScrapingBee is a fine fetcher. If it does not, buy the cleaning as part of the call.

Can I cancel ScrapingBee anytime?

Yes. The plans are month to month and the pricing page states cancel anytime, with no long-term commitment on the self-serve tiers. Enterprise agreements are negotiated separately, so read the contract rather than the pricing page if you are on a quoted plan.

Good questions

Questions about ScrapingBee pricing

Size it in rendered pages, not credits. Under 15,000 rendered pages a month, Hobby at $19 is the cheapest entry in this category. Between 15,000 and 50,000, Freelance at $49. Above roughly 101,000 rendered pages, Startup at $99 is cheaper per unit than Freelance could ever be and stays cheaper than Business until 600,000. Concurrency may override all of that: if you need more than 50 parallel requests you are on Startup regardless of volume.
At $49 it is a dead heat. ScrapingBee Freelance buys 50,000 rendered pages at $0.98 per 1,000, and our Hobby plan buys 50,000 pages at $0.98 per 1,000. Above that the shapes diverge: at $99 ScrapingBee Startup is 200,000 rendered pages and our Startup is 250,000, and at the top our Scale plan is 1,500,000 pages for $399 against 1,600,000 for $599. But ScrapingBee returns HTML and we return cleaned markdown or typed JSON, so the honest comparison includes the parsing code you would otherwise write and keep working.
