Browse AI Pricing: Cost per 1,000 Pages

Browse AI advertises 10 rows of data per credit, and that rate never applies to a detail page. A 1 credit minimum per task means every product or profile page you open costs a full credit, ten times the list rate. All four tiers, the credit rules behind them, what hourly monitoring really costs, and the two workloads where the meter stops making sense.

Short answer: Browse AI sells credits. Free gives 50 a month, Personal is $48 a month for 2,000 credits or $19 a month billed annually for 12,000 a year, and Professional runs $87 a month for 5,000 up to $399 for 30,000, or $69 to $319 a month on annual tiers from 60,000 to 360,000 credits a year. Premium starts at $500 a month. The headline rate is 10 rows per credit, but there is a 1 credit minimum per task and every detail page you open is its own task. So list rows cost about 0.1 credits each and detail pages cost a full credit each, a ten-fold difference that decides your bill. On Professional annual that is roughly $1.06 per 1,000 list rows against $10.63 per 1,000 detail pages.

Browse AI is a point-and-click scraper with a recorder, a scheduler and change alerts built in. None of that is what makes its pricing hard to predict. The difficulty is that the unit it bills, a credit, buys a wildly different amount of work depending on where the data you want happens to sit on the page.

Every figure below was read from the Browse AI pricing page and its help centre articles on plans and credit calculation, in September 2026. Nothing here comes from a review aggregator, because aggregator pages on this category go stale within a few weeks of a repricing.

Browse AI pricing plans

There are four tiers, and the annual and monthly versions of the same tier are not the same product. The annual price buys a pool of credits for the whole year rather than a monthly allowance, so the headline monthly figure needs dividing before you compare it to anything.

Plan Price Credits Price per credit Sites, monitor floor

One row in that table deserves a second look. Personal monthly at $48 gives you 2,000 credits every month, which is 24,000 over a year. The $19 annual tier that everyone quotes as the entry price gives you 12,000 credits for the whole year, an average of 1,000 a month. It is not the $48 plan at a 60 percent discount. It is half the throughput. The genuine like-for-like comparison is the $38 annual tier at $456 a year against $576 for twelve monthly payments, which is a real but ordinary 21 percent saving.

Top-ups are where the meter gets expensive. Extra credits cost $0.030 each on monthly plans, $0.024 on Personal annual and $0.017 to $0.022 on Professional annual, with a 1,000 credit minimum purchase. On a monthly plan that is roughly double the Premium in-plan rate, so running dry mid-cycle is worth avoiding by sizing up rather than topping up.

What does one Browse AI credit buy?

One credit buys 10 rows of extracted data on a standard site, or one screenshot. The rule that matters more is the floor underneath it: the minimum cost of any task is 1 credit, and on sites Browse AI classes as premium the minimum is 2 to 10 credits instead.

What you are doing Credits Effective rate
Rows pulled from one list page, standard site0.1 per row10 rows per credit
A task returning fewer than 10 rows1, the minimum8 rows still costs 1 credit
One detail page opened as its own task11 page per credit
One screenshot, standard site11 image per credit
Any task on a premium site2 to 10 minimumUp to 10x the standard floor
One monitor check over 10 pages10Charged again on every check

Browse AI publishes the worked example that makes the gap obvious. Take a list of 100 product links and then open each product page. The list extraction is 100 rows at 0.1 credits, so 10 credits. The detail pages are 100 separate tasks at the 1 credit minimum, so 100 credits. Same 100 products, same afternoon, and the second half of the job costs ten times the first half.

How much does Browse AI cost per 1,000 pages?

Because the meter changes shape depending on where your fields live, there is no single answer. There are two, and the distance between them is the whole story.

Plan Per 1,000 list rows Per 1,000 detail pages Per 1,000 pages on a premium site
Personal, monthly$2.40$24.00$48.00 to $240.00
Personal, annual$1.90$19.00$38.00 to $190.00
Professional, monthly 5,000$1.74$17.40$34.80 to $174.00
Professional, annual 360,000$1.06$10.63$21.26 to $106.30
Premium$1.00$10.00$20.00 to $100.00

Read the left column on its own and Browse AI looks cheap. A dollar per thousand rows off a dense listing page is competitive with anything in this category, and you got there by clicking through a recorder instead of writing a parser. That is a fair deal and it is worth saying plainly.

Read the right column and the picture inverts. Ten dollars per thousand pages is at the expensive end of the market for plain page fetching, and most of the data teams actually want, specifications, descriptions, contact details, salary bands, sits on the detail page rather than the listing. A product catalog crawl that needs the full spec table is a detail page job almost by definition.

How much does it cost to monitor a site with Browse AI?

Monitoring is billed per check, so the frequency multiplies everything. Browse AI gives the arithmetic itself: 10 pages at 1 credit is 10 credits per check, and running that every three days comes to 100 credits a month. Raise the frequency and the number moves fast.

10 pages checked Credits a month Cheapest plan that covers it
Every 3 days100Personal annual, $19 a month
Daily300Personal annual, $19 a month
Every 6 hours1,200Personal annual 24,000, $38 a month
Hourly7,200Professional annual 120,000, $129 a month
Every 5 minutes86,400Premium, from $500 a month

Ten pages is not an ambitious watchlist. Checking ten competitor pages once an hour, which is a normal ask for a pricing analyst, puts you on a $129 a month plan. Checking them every five minutes, which the Professional tier technically permits, needs a Premium contract. The five minute monitor floor is a feature you can only afford to use on a handful of pages.

That cost curve is why retail teams tend to watch a narrow list rather than a broad one, and why the watchlist earns its keep only if somebody acts on the alert the same day. When a rival undercuts you on a SKU you cannot profitably match, the useful response is usually to stop bidding on it and move the ad budget onto the products you can still win, rather than to reprice into a loss.

Is Browse AI worth it?

For a specific and fairly common situation, yes, clearly. If the people who need the data cannot write code, if the targets are a handful of list pages, and if the value is in the recorder, the scheduler and the Slack alert rather than in raw throughput, Browse AI does a job no API does. Nobody sets up a cron job and a parser in fifteen minutes from a browser extension.

It stops being worth it in three situations, and all three are about the per-task minimum rather than about the plans.

  • Your fields live on detail pages. Every page is its own task at 1 credit, so the 10-rows-per-credit headline never applies to you. Budget $10 to $24 per 1,000 pages and check whether that survives contact with your volume.
  • You run many small tasks. The 1 credit floor means a task returning 2 rows costs the same as one returning 10. Hundreds of narrow extractions are the worst possible shape for this meter.
  • You monitor frequently. Credits are charged on every check, so the bill scales with frequency times pages, and hourly checking on a modest watchlist already needs a three-figure monthly plan.

What is the cheaper alternative to Browse AI for detail pages?

An API that meters pages rather than tasks, which is what most of this category does. ClawEngine bills one page of plan allowance per page returned, whether that page yields one field or four hundred rows, so the list page and the detail page cost the same. Hobby is $39 a month for 50,000 pages, which works out at $0.78 per 1,000, Startup is $99 for 250,000 and Scale is $399 for 1,500,000. On the hourly monitoring example above, 7,200 page fetches a month sits comfortably inside the entry plan.

Be clear about what you give up. We do not ship a point-and-click recorder, a monitoring scheduler or change alerts, so you are writing the cron job and the diff yourself. We do not defeat anti-bot systems, which is roughly what Browse AI is charging 2 to 10 credits for on a premium site. And there is no free tier here. If those three things are why you were looking at Browse AI, the price comparison is not the relevant one.

Where the swap does pay is the deep crawl: a schema handed to a crawl API returns typed fields from every detail page at one flat rate, which is the exact job the per-task minimum makes expensive. Our guides to change monitoring with an API and to tracking competitor prices on a schedule cover how to rebuild the scheduler part yourself, and if you are comparing credit systems more broadly, Tavily pricing per search, extract and crawl is the other meter in this category worth understanding before you sign anything.

Does Browse AI have a free plan?

Yes. The free tier gives 50 credits a month across 2 sites with 3 users, 90 day data retention and an hourly monitor floor. That is 500 list rows, or 50 detail pages, or a single ten-page monitor run five times. It is genuinely enough to record a robot and confirm the extraction works on your target, which is the right way to use it. It is not enough to run anything in production for a week.

Do Browse AI credits roll over?

On monthly plans, no. Unused credits reset at the end of the cycle and are not carried forward, with one exception: if you upgrade before the cycle ends, the unused balance is added on top of the new plan allowance. Annual plans work differently and more generously, since the full year of credits is granted upfront and you can spend it in whatever pattern the work demands. A seasonal workload, a quarterly price study or a hiring push, is a real argument for the annual pool beyond the discount.
