Visualping API Pricing per Check
The Visualping API is included on every plan and draws on the same check quota, about $7 per 1,000 checks monthly. The 500 page cap on Business 50K is what really sets the bill. Five watchlists priced, and when a scraping API is cheaper.

Short answer: The Visualping API has no separate price. Every plan includes it, from the free tier up, and each API call that runs a check draws from the same monthly check quota as the app. Paid plans work out to $7 per 1,000 checks on monthly billing and $5 on annual, from Personal 1K at $14 a month to Business 50K at $350. The real limit is pages, not checks. Business 50K watches at most 500 pages, so anything bigger moves to a custom Solutions quote. All figures were read from visualping.io in October 2026.
Visualping is one of the best known website change monitors, and most of its customers never touch the API. They paste a URL, draw a box around the part of the page they care about and get an email when it moves. The API matters to a different buyer: a developer who wants monitors created from code, results pushed into a database, or an agent that hears about changes without anyone opening a dashboard. That buyer usually arrives with one question. What will this cost when the watchlist is 200 pages, or 2,000?
The answer depends far more on the page cap than on the check price, and that is the part most pricing summaries skip.
How much does the Visualping API cost?
The Visualping API costs nothing extra on top of a plan. Visualping states that API usage draws on the plan's normal check quota rather than a separate allowance, so a check created by an API call and a check created in the web app cost the same. What you buy is the plan, and each plan sets three numbers at once: checks per month, the number of pages you can watch, and the shortest interval between checks.
| Visualping plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | Checks a month | Pages | Fastest check |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not sold yearly | 150 | 5 | 60 min |
| Personal 1K | $14 | $10 | 1,000 | 10 | 15 min |
| Personal 5K | $35 | $25 | 5,000 | 20 | 5 min |
| Personal 10K | $70 | $50 | 10,000 | 40 | 2 min |
| Business 20K | $140 | $100 | 20,000 | 200 | 2 min |
| Business 30K | $210 | $150 | 30,000 | 300 | 2 min |
| Business 40K | $280 | $200 | 40,000 | 400 | 2 min |
| Business 50K | $350 | $250 | 50,000 | 500 | 2 min |
| Solutions | Custom quote | Custom | Custom | Custom | |
Divide price by checks on any paid tier above Personal 1K and you get the same number: $7 per 1,000 checks billed monthly, $5 billed annually. Personal 1K is the outlier at $14 per 1,000. Business plans add seats (5 users on 20K up to 11 on 50K), AI change summaries and an important-or-not flag on every change.
Which Visualping plans include API access?
All of them, including Free. Visualping lists API access as included on every tier, along with an MCP server, and you generate a key in the Developer tab of the account. There is no separate API rate card. The plan's check quota is the limit, and monitors created through the API share one pool with monitors created in the app. That keeps the bill simple, and it also means a script that creates monitors too eagerly can exhaust the quota your colleagues were relying on.
What counts as a check on Visualping?
One visit to one page. Visualping's own example is that one page monitored daily uses up to 31 checks a month. Hourly is about 720 a month per page, every 15 minutes about 2,880, and every 2 minutes about 21,600. That last figure is worth staring at: a single page on the fastest interval Business allows uses most of a Business 30K plan by itself.
What does Visualping cost at 50, 200 and 2,000 pages?
Here are five watchlists priced on Visualping and on a scraping API that fetches the same pages on your own schedule. ClawEngine is the comparison because we built it for this shape of job, so weigh the last column accordingly. Our plans are Hobby at $49 a month for about 50,000 pages, Startup at $99 for about 250,000 pages with typed schema extraction, and Scale at $399 for about 1,500,000.
| Watchlist | Checks a month | Visualping plan | Visualping cost | ClawEngine plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 pages, daily | 600 | Personal 5K (20 page cap) | $35, or $25 yearly | Hobby $49 |
| 50 pages, hourly | 36,000 | Business 40K | $280, or $200 yearly | Hobby $49, Startup $99 typed |
| 200 pages, daily | 6,000 | Business 20K (page cap, not checks) | $140, or $100 yearly | Hobby $49, Startup $99 typed |
| 2,000 pages, daily | 60,000 | Above the 500 page cap | Solutions, custom quote | Startup $99 |
| 500 pages, hourly | 360,000 | Above the 50,000 check cap | Solutions, custom quote | Scale $399 |
Two things stand out. At 20 pages Visualping is the cheaper purchase, and it does more for the money, because it runs the schedule, keeps the screenshots and sends the alerts. And at 200 pages checked once a day, the page cap pushes you to Business 20K even though you use under a third of its checks. That gap between pages and checks is where a page-metered API starts to win, since our allowance counts fetches and puts no ceiling on how many distinct URLs they are spread across.
When is Visualping the better buy?
When the people reading the alerts are not developers, Visualping is the right tool and we would tell you to buy it. Its visual diff, the area selector, AI change summaries, team seats and the fact that nobody has to write or host anything are real product, not packaging. It is also the better fit for a small watchlist that needs short intervals. Five pages checked hourly is 3,600 checks, a Personal 5K plan at $35, while on an API you would still be writing the scheduler yourself.
It also helps to be clear about what you are watching for. If the real worry is a site going down rather than a page changing, an uptime monitoring service that checks every 30 seconds is the right purchase, and neither a change monitor nor a scraping API is.
What is the alternative to Visualping for developers?
A scraping API on your own schedule. You keep a watchlist in your database, a cron job fetches each URL at its own interval, the API renders the page and returns either clean markdown or the exact fields you asked for, and your code compares that record with the last one and alerts on the fields that moved. That is roughly 50 lines of code, and the website change monitoring API page has a working version with noise filtering and a tiered schedule.
What you get for writing those lines is mostly about the data. A field diff reads like a sentence, price moved from 49 to 59, rather than a highlighted screenshot. Every capture lands in your own tables next to the rest of your data, so the history is a SQL query. And because the bill counts page fetches rather than watched pages, 2,000 URLs checked daily is a $99 Startup plan rather than a sales call. Pricing teams watching competitors, a use case we cover on the price monitoring API page, are the typical buyer.
What you give up is the hosted part. We do not run the schedule, we do not send the email, and we do not keep screenshots. We fetch public pages and respect robots.txt, and pages behind a login, a paywall or an anti-bot wall are out of scope, which also rules out some of the things Visualping users monitor.
How does Visualping compare with AI monitoring APIs?
They answer a different question. Visualping watches a page you name. The Parallel Monitor API and Exa Monitors watch a question across the whole web and tell you when a new page answers it, billed at $3 to $10 per 1,000 runs on Parallel and $15 per 1,000 on Exa. If you do not know which page the news will appear on, that is the right shape. If you do, our Parallel Monitor API pricing breakdown works out why rereading known URLs is cheaper than searching for them again every hour.
Is the Visualping API free?
It is included on the free plan, but that plan is 150 checks a month across 5 pages with a 60 minute minimum interval, which is enough to test the endpoints and not much else. Five pages checked daily already uses the whole 150. Any production use starts at Personal 1K for $14 a month, and a team building on the API will usually land on a Business plan because of the page cap rather than the checks.
If your watchlist is in the hundreds or thousands of URLs and the output has to be structured data in your own system, compare that Business quote with a page-metered plan on our pricing page. Typed field extraction starts on Startup at $99 a month for about 250,000 pages.
